LibrePlanet Illinois
LibrePlanet Illinois is a local community of activists working to promote and defend software freedom. As a part of the Free Software Foundation's global LibrePlanet network, our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of free—as in freedom—software. We believe that technology should empower users, not restrict them. We advocate for a world where everyone has the right to control the technology they use in their daily lives.
Our group organizes discussions, workshops, and advocacy campaigns focused on the ethical and political issues surrounding software. We explore topics like user privacy, digital rights, and the benefits of collaborative development. This page is a resource for anyone in Illinois who wants to learn more about the free software movement, find ethical technology to use, and connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about building a free digital society.
